Christian Meditation
Contemplative prayer in the Christian tradition
Wednesday 7 pm - 8 pm
This meditation session is held in the church. It’s based on the practice developed by John Main, a Benedictine monk who rediscovered the contemplative tradition in the teachings of the Desert Fathers and Mothers of the fourth century.
This type of meditation is connected to the global spiritual community of the “World Community for Christian Meditation” (WCCM) who work with other faiths and communities. [See www.wccm.org for more information].
This session is approximately 1 hour. It includes 20 minutes of silent meditation, with some reflective teaching and discussion at the beginning. It’s open to all, whether you are new to meditation or experienced. And it’s a great way to meet new people.
No charge and no booking necessary. Questions? email Carolyn at caro.ruc@gmail.com
We would love to see you.
This year we're also meeting on zoom monthly, on the last Tuesday of the month (apart from December). Email Carolyn at caro.ruc@gmail.com for the zoom link.
